Dhaka Commerce College organised Bangla New Year Celebration 1423 on 1 Baishakh 1423. The programme was inaugurated by Vice Principal (Administration) Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam. Professor Md. Abdul Kayum, convener of the New Year 1423 Celebration committee, spoke on this occasion. The Programme began with serving Pantavaat among the teachers and officers and their families. After that a painting competition among the children was held. In the `Ka’ group of this competition Nihan secured the 1st, Maisha the 2nd and Jami the 3rd position. In the `Kha’ group Nora became 1st, where as Tasin and Maimuna became 2nd and 3rd respectively. Then a gorgeous cultural programme began with the song `Esho Hey Baishakh’ in chorus.
Convener of the cultural committee of the college Md. Saidur Rahman Mia announced the ending of the Programme. Later everybody joined the Lunch.
