The National Mourning Day 2016 marking the 41st anniversary of the assassination of the Father of the Nation Bangaboandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed in Dhaka Commerce College on 17 August 2016. The chief guest in the program was prominent Poet, Writer, Researcher and the Presidium Member of Bangladesh Awami League Dr Nuh-Ul-Alam Lanin. The program was Chaired by professor Dr Shafiq Ahmed Siddique, Chairman of the College Governing Body. Precious speech delivered by Professor Abu Sayed, Principal and Md Saidur Rahman Mian, Convener of Cultural Committee. Among others were present Professor Md Shafiqul Islam, Vice Principal (Administration) and Professor Md Mojahar Jamil, Academic Advisor. All the students, teachers and staff of the College attended the program.
