Dhaka Commerce College celebrated the Golden Jubilee of victory in the liberation war of Bangladesh on 29 December with due solemnity. Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi MP, Birpratik attended the programme as the chief guest. Aga Khan Mintu, the MP of the parliamentary seat Dhaka 14, attended the program as well as special guest. Chairman of the college Governing Body Professor Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Siddique presided over the programme.
Professor Dr. Md. Abu Masud, the Principal of the college, gave the welcome speech on this occasion. Besides, Vice-Principal Professor Md. Wali Ullah read the letter of honour. Member of the college Governing Body AFM Sarwar Kamal and Professor Mian Lutfar rahman, Advisor (Academic) Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam, convenor of the cultural committee Samsad Shahjahan were among the others attendind the programme.
In this programme Chairman of the college Governing Body Professor Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Siddique awarded the heroic freedom fighter Golam Dastagir Gazi MP a gold medal for his unforgettable contribution to the war of liberaton of Bangladesh.
The honourable chief guest heroic freedom fighter Golam Dastagir Gazi MP handed over the awards to the winners in various sporting and cultural events organized by the college authority on the occasion of the victory day celebration.
