A mourning was arranged in the Dhaka Commerce College Conference Hall on 4 June 2016 in rememberance of Professor ABM Abul Quashem, former Acting Principal of Dhaka Commerce College. Chairman of the Governing Body Professor Dr Shafiq Ahmed Siddique, member of the Governing Body Advocate Abu Yahiya Dulal, Pincipal Professor Md Abu Sayeed, Vice-Principal (Administration) Professor Md Shafiqul Islam, Professor Md Romjan Ali, Dr Miriz Ali and son of the deceased Shihab Rizwan reminisced of the deceased. The teachers and staffs were also present in the meeting. It is to note that Professor ABM Abul Quashem, founder member of Dhaka Commerce College and member of the Governing Body, former Acting Principal and Vice-Principal (Administration) of Dhaka Commerce College expired on 24 May 2016 at the age of 67.
