Book Distribution Program at Dhaka Commerce College

In an effort to inform the new generation about the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Chief Patron of the Education Family (Shikha Paribar) Dhaka-14, Mr. Md. Aslamul Haque MP distributed books among the students of Dhaka Commerce College on 5 November 2019 as part of the book distribution program in all the educational institutions of the Dhaka-14 parliamentary constituency. On the this occasion, ‘Secret Documents of Intelligence Branch on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ and ‘Oshomapto Attojiboni’ and ‘Sheikh Mujib Amar Peeta’ and ‘Amader Choto Rassel Shona’ written by honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were distributed. The Chairman of the governing body of Dhaka Commerce College Prof Dr. Dr. Shafique Ahmed Siddique was the chief guest and the special guest at the event was Md. Aslamul Haque MP, Dhaka-14. The ceremony was presided over by the Principal (acting) of Dhaka Commerce College Md. Shafiqul Islam. Among others Vice-Principal (Science) Professor. Dr. Md. Abu Masud, Advisor (Academic) Professor. Md. Mojahar Jamil, Convener of the Cultural Committee SM Ali Azam spoke on the occasion.
There were also present at the book distribution ceremony, the president of the Education Family Dhaka-14, Mirpur College’s Principal Professor Golam Wadud, Senior Vice-President Hazrat Shah Ali Women College’s Principal Professor Moiz Uddin, Vice-President Muhammadabad Islamia Aliya Madrasah’s Principal Dr. Md. Saiful Islam Rafiq, General Secretary Model Academy’s Head Teacher Shubhasish Kumar Biswas along with the members of the Executive Council were present. President of Bangladesh Awami League Mirpur Police Station SM Hanif, General Secretary Advocate AK Azad and 8 No. Ward Councilors Kazi Tipu Sultan, Awami League leaders of various Wards of Dhaka-14 were also present.
Shikha Chakraborty, Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of Women Awami League, Ferdousi Begum, President of Ward No 7, and Mirpur Thana Awami League President of Word No.11 Rowshanara Siraj were also present in the event. Shah Ali Police Station’s Chatroleague president Zakir Hossain, Ward no. 7 Jubo League President Rubel Zoyardar and General Secretary Rajib Hossain, Ward no. 8 Juba League President Pertho Majumder and General Secretary AKM Russell, Ward no. 93 Juba League President Md. Shoaib Ali and General Secretary Tanim Hossain and General Secretary Piyas Ward No.11 were also present in the program.
During this time, Md. Aslamul Haque MP announced scholarships for the students. This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the post-examination 'Sheikh Mujib My Father' The 1st prize of the scholarship is Tk. 50,000 (Fifty Thousand), 2nd Prize is Tk. 35,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand) and 3rd Prize is Tk. 25000. In his address, the chief guest said that the country would not be independent if Bangabandhu was not there. Everyone should know Bangabandhu irrespective of his party. To know the true history of the country, one must read the biography of Bangabandhu. He highlighted the significance of Bangabandhu's 7 March speech. The special guest said in his speech, it is possible to give students an accurate idea of the history by distributing these three special books on Bangabandhu and his family. This book distribution Program will let the students know Bangabandhu, know the history of the country as well. Finally, he urged all to embrace the ideal of Bangabandhu.
