International mother language day observed at Dhaka Commerce College

 On 21 February 2020 National martyrs and international mother language day has been observed at Dhaka Commerce College with great respect and solemnity. On this day all the teachers, students and staffs participated in an early morning procession and then paid floral homage to the language martyrs at the college Shaheed Minar. Then on the Shaheed Minar premises there held a discussion session,  attributing   Ekushey's Reverence,  publishing reminiscence and wall magazine, prize giving ceremony for cultural competitions and a cultural programme. The chief guest of the programme was Professor Dr. Bishwajit Ghosh, Ekhushey Padak winner, writer and researcher,Vice  Chancellor, Rabindra University. The special guest was A F M Sawar Kamal, Former Secretary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, one of the founders of Dhaka Commerce College and the honourable member of Dhaka Commerce College Governing Body. The programme was presided over by the Principal (Acting) Professor Shafiqul Islam. During the discussion session Vice principal Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Masud and Adviser(Academic) Prof. Md. Mojahar Jamil delivered their valuable speeches  and  the welcome Speech was presented by the Joint convener S M Ali Azam.

Before that from 19-21 a three day book fair and third language day cultural competition were inaugurated by the principal (Acting) Prof. Md. Shafiqul Islam . third dental camp arranged by the social welfare club was inaugurated by  Dr. S M Salauddin Al Azad, Principal, Mendi Dental College Hospital. Third language and art exhibition organized by the arts and photography club was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Bishwajit Ghosh, Vice Chancellor, Rabindra University.
